The Graça Funicular offers a convenient way to reach Largo da Graça, specifically the Miradouro da Graça Viewpoint, located in front of the Graça Church. Operating on a dedicated track with two stops—one at each end—it provides a seamless journey up the hill, allowing you to easily access one of Lisbon’s best viewpoints.
The Miradouro da Graça is one of Lisbon’s most iconic and beloved viewpoints, offering a breathtaking rooftop panorama of the city. Shaded by large, leafy trees, this spot invites visitors to relax and take in the scenery. A charming refreshment kiosk with ample seating serves a variety of snacks, beer, wine, and other drinks, making it a perfect place to unwind. To enhance the experience, you’ll often find local musicians performing live, adding a touch of charm and ambiance to this picturesque setting.
Muralist Alain Welter created this striking piece in Lisbon that serves as a vibrant bridge between Portugal and his home country of Luxembourg. The crow featured reflects a shared emblem on Lisbon’s coat of arms and his hometown of Koler. To tie the mural to Lisbon, Alain painted the crow in rich blue, inspired by Azulejos, Portugal’s iconic ceramic tiles. The crow also holds two symbols: a pastel de nata, Portugal’s famous pastry, and a rope running through the mural, evoking Lisbon’s maritime heritage and tram cables.
Igreja da Graça is widely regarded as one of the most stunning churches in Lisbon. As one of the city’s oldest convents, it holds a prominent spot in Largo da Graça, nestled in the parish of São Vicente on Lisbon’s highest hill. Both the church and convent are open to visitors free of charge. However, if you’d like to access the church’s terrace, a €5.00 ticket is required—this also includes a complimentary drink to enjoy at the top. The terrace offers breathtaking views and is highly recommended for anyone visiting the site.
